Week view FAQ
How does the Week view work?
Toward the top right of your schedule, you’ll see a dropdown that allows you to switch between the Day, Week, and Month view of your schedule.
When you switch to the Week view of your schedule, you can create weekly assignments for your team. Instead of scheduling by day, you’ll schedule for a whole week at a time. You can learn more about scheduling weekly assignments in our article on adding time assignments.
Why can’t I add milestones in the Week view?
Since milestones are meant to signify a specific day in the project’s timeline, they can only be scheduled from the Day view. There’s not a way to select a single weekday from the Week view.
Where’s the checkbox to repeat a weekly assignment?
You’ll only see the checkbox to repeat an assignment weekly on the Day view of your schedule, since weekly scheduling allows you to assign multiple weeks at once easily.
Where’s the zoom in/out button on the Week view?
At this time, it’s only possible to use the zoom options on the Day view of your schedule. With the Week view, you’re already able to view more time at once on the schedule.
Will this affect non-work days?
No, non-work days will still function exactly the same. Note that it’s not possible to start an assignment on a non-work day (or create a single-day assignment) from the Week view.
Can you still split weekly assignments?
Yes, it’s possible to split weekly assignments. A few things to note:
- For multi-week assignments, you’ll only be able to split them at the end of a week/start of another week when you’re in the Week view. For more granularity, you’ll need to switch to the Day view.
- It’s not possible to split a single week from the Week view of your schedule, but you can do so by switching to the Day view.
