View-Only - Accessing Your Company's Forecast Account

Welcome to Forecast! This article lays out the steps for accessing your company’s Forecast account so that you can join your team and view the schedule. We’ve also included some tips for signing in on a day-to-day basis. Let’s get started!

For the first time

To access your team’s Forecast account for the first time, you’ll need to accept an invitation sent by your team via email, even if you’re already on another account for Forecast or our other tool Harvest.

When a View-Edit teammate in the account creates your profile and selects the option to invite you to sign in, an invitation email with the subject “Teammate’s Name has invited you to Harvest Forecast” will be generated and sent to your email address. If a View-Edit teammate set up your profile and invited you to sign in, but you haven’t received an email invitation, we recommend searching your email account for messages from The invitation may have gotten caught in a spam folder or auto-filter. If a search doesn’t surface the message, or if the invitation link has expired, you can ask a View-Edit teammate to resend the invitation from the account’s Manage > Team section.

To accept the invitation and access the account, click the Accept Invitation button in the email. Accepting the invitation is the only way to join your team’s account. When you click the link to join, you’ll be taken to a screen where you can create a password before signing in, or sign in with Google if your company uses Google Workspace or Gmail email addresses. You may also need to set up two-factor authentication, if your company also has a Harvest account connected to Xero.

Note: If you head to independently to set up an account, you might create a new, separate trial account for yourself that is not connected to your team.

In general

You can sign in to your Forecast account from If you have a Gmail or Google Workspace email address, you can click the Sign In with Google button. Otherwise, you can enter your email and password and click Sign In. If your company requires two-factor authentication because it also has a Harvest account connected to Xero, you’ll then need to enter a code generated on an authenticator app or sent to you by email.

If you have multiple accounts with us—which may include other Forecast accounts or Harvest accounts—you can then select the account you’d like to access. Once you’re in a specific account, you can switch to a different one by clicking your name at the top right of any page and selecting Switch Accounts.

A quick way to access a specific Forecast account is to bookmark the account’s web address in your preferred browser. When you’re signed in to the account, you can find the URL in the address bar of your browser window.

Resetting your password

You can change your password from the Security tab in your profile, which you can access by clicking on your name at the top right corner of your screen and selecting My Profile. To reset a forgotten password, click the Forgot your password? link at, and an email will be sent to your address.
