Harvest ID is our integrated authentication system that comes with security benefits and makes it easy to access multiple accounts that use the same email address. One single sign-in page gives you access to all of your accounts with just one email address and password, and it’s quick and easy to switch back and forth without needing to sign out and back in. Beyond the web app, Harvest ID also makes switching accounts a breeze in our iPhone, Android, and Mac apps and our Chrome and Safari extensions.

It’s not just Harvest, either. If your email address is also associated with one or more accounts in Forecast, our planning and scheduling tool, you’ll be able to access those using your Harvest ID, too!

Signing in to Harvest ID

Head to https://id.getharvest.com or open one of our associated apps to sign in. You can enter your email address and password or select to sign in using Google.

If you sign in using your email address and password, and you’re on your own personal or work computer and don’t want to be frequently asked to sign in, check the Keep me signed in box. For 60 days, as long as you don’t manually sign out, you won’t be asked to sign in again even if you restart your browser.

If you use a Gmail or G Suite email address, you can use the Sign In with Google button for one-click sign-in. As long as you stay signed in to your Google account (and don’t manually sign out of Harvest ID), you’ll also stay signed in to Harvest ID.

If your team requires signing in with Google, then you’ll only be able to sign in with your Google account and won’t be able to sign in using your email address and password.

For the Chrome or Safari extension, you should be automatically signed in if you’re already signed in to Harvest ID in the browser. If not, click the Sign In button to be directed to https://id.getharvest.com.

Switching between accounts

When using Harvest or Forecast in a web browser, just click your name at the top right of any page and select Switch Accounts. You’ll be taken to a list of all your Harvest and Forecast accounts, where you can choose which one you’d like to access.

In the iPhone app, tap the Account button at the bottom of your screen and then tap Switch Account to access a list of all of the Harvest accounts available to you.

In the Android app, tap the three-bar icon at the top left and go to Settings > Account, then tap Switch accounts to see a list of your Harvest accounts.

In the Mac app, click the gear icon at the bottom right of your timesheet and select Switch Accounts, then choose the account you’d like to switch to.

In the Chrome or Safari extension, open the extension by clicking the H icon next to the address bar and click the Switch Account button, then select the account you’d like to switch to in the window that pops up.

Editing your Harvest ID name, email, and password

Updating your name, email address, and password will apply to all accounts associated with your Harvest ID.

To update the name or email address associated with your Harvest ID, go to https://id.getharvest.com and, if necessary, sign in. Then, click Edit My Harvest ID at the top right.

To reach the Edit My Harvest ID section from a Harvest account, you can click your name at the top right and select My Profile. In the Basic Info section of your profile, follow the link to Update your email from your Harvest ID settings.

When you change your email address, you’ll be asked to re-enter your password to confirm the change. If you don’t have a password because you sign in via Google, you can instead click the Send Email Instructions button to have an email sent to your current address; follow the link in the email to confirm the change to the new address.

To change your password, go to the Security section of your Harvest ID account. Click the green Change My Password button. You’ll receive a password reset email with a link you can follow to set a new password.

If you’re unable to sign in because you’ve forgotten your password, go to https://id.getharvest.com and click the Forgot your password? link. Enter the email address associated with your account(s) and click the Send Link button. You’ll receive an email with a link you can follow to reset your password.

Reviewing and ending sessions

The Security section of Harvest ID lets you review all of your active web and mobile sessions and sign out of individual sessions or all of them at once. This can be especially useful if, for example, you accidentally left yourself signed in to an account on a computer you no longer have access to or if your phone has been lost or stolen.

To end individual sessions, head to https://id.getharvest.com and, if necessary, sign in. Click the Security link at the top right and then click Sign Out for any sessions or apps that shouldn’t have access to your Harvest ID.

You can also click the Show Details link for an individual session to review details, such as the device, location, and IP address. If any sessions look unfamiliar to you, we recommend that you click the link to sign out everywhere to end all sessions immediately so no one can access or take any actions in your account without authorization. Clicking that link will also automatically trigger a password reset; please check your email to proceed with setting a new password for your Harvest ID to ensure the security of your accounts.
